Ruth Snogren discovered her love for storytelling at a very young age. Throughout her childhood, she made short films about the lives of the saints with her siblings. In 2015, Ruth went on a pilgrimage to Eastern Europe and was inspired to create the California Pilgrim YouTube channel which focuses on producing educational, entertaining Orthodox Christian content in the English language. She created and is the illustrator behind all of the drawings in the channel’s popular children’s series, Draw the Life of a Saint. Ruth is also a registered nurse and has a master’s degree in Nursing Education. She continues to pursue her passion for storytelling in various media while raising her young family with her husband in the United States.
